EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE EXPEDITION:

The first expedition to the South Pole and back again, unsupported

In 1911, a team of Norwegians, led by Roald Amundsen, became the first explorers to reach the South Pole.

In 1993, Erling Kagge, also of Norway, became the first to reach the Pole unsupported, without resupply and under his own power.

In November 2010, John Wilton-Davies and Justin Miles of Great Britain will attempt to become the first people to not only reach the South Pole, but to return, completely unsupported.

This site covers the planning, preparation, training and execution of the expedition.  The longest unsupported polar journey in history.
