Corporate

There are a number of ways for businesses to get involved with the Last Great Challenge.

 Sponsorship

Last Great Challenge would welcome discussions with any organization interested in a sponsorship partnership.  Packages can be developed for any purpose, whether for brand awareness, internal staff motivation, product launch, product placement, etc.

Smaller businesses can become official sponsors through the Patriot Club, from only £250 upwards.

Firms looking for a greater involvement can consider packages from £2,500 through the Base Camp, including the prospect of winning flights to Antarctica.

 Motivational Talks

John and Justin are available individually to give motivational or inspirational talks to corporate clients. Coming from slightly different angles and with two very different life experiences, John and Justin's talks use analogies from their own lives to help their audiences to get in touch with their own motivation, the internal energy that we all have but sometimes suppress.

Talks can be incorporated into conferences, team-building activities, training programmes, or networking events

John Wilton-Davies

At the age of 44, John had a serious mid-life crisis and decided to go for a walk.  Despite having absolutely no experience of cross country skiing, winter camping, or navigation, he ended up walking solo and unsupported across Antarctica.

John's talks focus on what happens when you get lost.  Lost in the wilds or lost in the routine of life.  Both need an escape plan.

Justin Miles

Justin's story comes from an entirely different angle to his expedition partner. The motivation for Justin to succeed goes back to a near-fatal car accident ten years ago. Despite medical opinion that his recovery could take years, he beat the odds and made a fast recovery, running a marathon just nine months after the accident.

Justin's motivational talks surround how he turned his hospital bed dream of becoming an adventurer into a tangible objective, defining goals as staging posts, using goals to measure success and build confidence, and developing a positive mental attitude.

Using analogies from his self-administered recovery plans, Justin demonstrates how success is possible if we have clear objectives and goals, have a high level of belief and the determination to succeed.

Both speakers are versatile in their approach and have spoken on a motivational level to sales teams and corporate clients to giving inspirational talks to students and other interest groups.

 Team Building

Improving corporate performance is vital for companies to succeed, especially in this tough economic climate.

Justin and John work with staff in organizations of all sizes to help build their team strengths by putting them in a position where they have to work together towards a common purpose. The Last Great Challenge team-building exercises encourage brainstorming and cover aspects of teamwork including communication, problem solving, decision making, planning, execution and evaluation.

The main goals of Last Great Challenge team-building days are to improve productivity and motivation. Taking staff away from their usual working environment helps groups break down political and personal barriers, eliminate distractions, and have fun. Some of the benefits of team building activities include: improving morale and working relationships, removing barriers to creativity, increasing problem solving ability, improving routine performance, helping to define goals and objectives and, most importantly, improving organisational productivity - the bottom line.

 Healthy Workforce

A healthy workforce not only works more efficiently, but they spend less time away from the workplace. Encouraging a healthy workforce is one of the most innovative and effective ways that employers can use to boost morale, productivity, staff retention and overall profitability.

The British Heart Foundation offer information on eating healthily, how to incorporate exercise into daily routine and have some fantastic programmes and activities that you can get involved with as a company which will not only get your staff fitter, but could help to raise funds for the BHF too.
