We've been following, with great interest, an expedition attempting to cross the Patagonian ice cap unsupported for the first time.  Our main interest was because it sounded impossible, but each day the blogs from the expedition [ http://www.rivers-of-ice.com/updates/read/] tell a story of courage and perseverance in the face of pretty horrible conditions.
